Apple Betty
This apple brown betty is a no-crust pie made with tender, thinly sliced apples and a crunchy, buttery streusel topping.
Set the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees C).
Grease a 9-inch pie plate very lightly.
Stack apples in the pie plate you have prepared.
Orange juice should be sprinkled.
In a big bowl, combine salt, nutmeg, cinnamon, sugar, and flour.
With two knives or a pastry blender, blend in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Place streusel on top of the apples.
For about 45 minutes, or until the streusel is browned and the filling is hot, bake in the preheated oven.
Serve hot
