How can you make French toast better? Make it into a bacon-stuffed French toast casserole for the ultimate breakfast crowd-pleaser by stuffing it with bacon!

Over medium-high heat, add the bacon to a large skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 10 minutes, or until evenly browned.

On paper towels, dry off the bacon slices.

Set oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees C).

In a 9×13-inch baking dish, distribute about a third of the butter pats, then layer six slices of bread on top, overlapping them as necessary.

Add bacon slices to the bread slices.

Over the bacon slices, add 1 1/2 teaspoons of nutmeg, 1 1/2 teaspoons each of white sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon.

Top the bacon with a third of the butter pats and the remaining bread slices.
