Banana Chocolate Chip Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Frosting
These easy chocolate chip cupcakes topped with a buttery cream cheese frosting are a decadent upgrade on a classic favorite, banana bread.
Set oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees C).
Use paper liners to line a muffin pan.
Salt, baking soda, baking powder, and flour are all combined in a bowl.
In a different bowl, combine 1/4 cup butter, white sugar, and brown sugar; beat with an electric mixer until creamy.
Stir in the egg.
Add the mashed bananas in.
Add buttermilk in three batches, alternating with the flour mixture, and stir after each addition.
Add chocolate chips to the batter and combine.
Fill the muffin tin with batter by spooning it in.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
For about 30 minutes, let the cupcakes cool on a wire rack.
