Captain’s Crunch French Toast
This hearty, sugary breakfast treat is made of thick slices of egg bread coated in crushed breakfast cereal.
Eggs and sugar should be smoothed out in a bowl.
Cream, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg should be added.
Whisk until smooth.
Crush the cereal and pour it into a shallow dish.
Two pieces of the egg bread should be dipped into the egg mixture at a time until the slices have absorbed the egg for about 30 seconds on each side.
To evenly coat both sides, press the sopped bread into the cereal that has been crushed.
The finished slices should be set aside on a sheet of wax paper.
In a nonstick skillet set over medium-high heat, melt the butter.
Cook the French toast in the hot pan for about 3 minutes per side, or until golden.
