With only four ingredients, this chocolate bark is an addictive combination of sweet, salty, and buttery flavors that your kids will love.
Set oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees C).
Use parchment paper to line an 11×17-inch baking sheet with a rim.
On a baking sheet, arrange the saltine crackers in a single layer, salted side up.
In a saucepan, combine the butter and brown sugar.
Melt the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly, for about 5 minutes, or until the mixture takes on a caramel color.
Then evenly spread the caramel mixture over the crackers.
Bake for about 5 minutes in a preheated oven, or until barely bubbling.
Remove from oven, then allow to quickly cool.
Chocolate chips should be melted in a microwave-safe bowl in 15-second intervals, stirring 1 to 3 minutes between each melting.
Spread the chocolate evenly over the crackers.
