When you need dessert quickly, make this quick chocolate cherry dump cake using dark chocolate cake mix and cherry pie filling.

Set the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees C).

In a large bowl, combine cherry pie filling, cake mix, eggs, and almond extract by hand.

Pour into a 9-inch square pan that has been floured and greased.

Bake in the preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean.

For 5 minutes, let the cake cool on a wire rack.

To loosen, go around the edges with a table knife.

Onto a serving plate or cooling rack, carefully invert.
