Cinnamon Apple Cake (Hanukkah Cake)
A moist cake made with cream cheese and studded with chunks of fresh apple and sprinkled with cinnamon sugar will be perfect for your Hanukkah celebration.
Set the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees C).
Cooking spray should be used to coat an 8-inch springform pan.
Eggs are added one at a time, beating well after each addition, to a bowl containing 1 1/2 cups sugar, butter, vanilla extract, and cream cheese.
In a different bowl, stir together the salt, baking powder, and flour.
Stir 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon together in a separate small bowl.
Reserve the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture and stir 2 tablespoons of it into the flour mixture.
Making a smooth batter, stir the flour mixture into the butter mixture before adding the apples.
Fill the pan with the batter.
Sprinkle the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture on top of the batter.
