Corned Beef for Sandwiches in a Slow Cooker
Corned beef cooked in the slow cooker with lots of garlic and stout beer is perfect for using in sandwiches or for making corned beef hash.
Put the brisket in a slow cooker fat side down.
Cook on High for one hour with a hot water cover.
The slow cooker’s water should be drained and discarded.
To a tea ball or spice bag, add cinnamon, cayenne, cloves, and peppercorns.
Place in the slow cooker along with the bay leaves and beer garlic cloves.
To barely cover the brisket, add more water.
Cook for five hours on medium.
Brisket should be carefully removed because it will be extremely tender and may crumble or split in half.
Before slicing, let the meat rest.
