Easy Italian Sausage Spaghetti
Without the hassle of making meatballs, Italian sausage spaghetti is a quick and tasty alternative to spaghetti and meatballs.
Over medium-high heat, warm up the olive oil in a big skillet.
Sausage, mushrooms, onion, green bell pepper, and garlic are cooked and stirred in hot oil for about 20 minutes or until the sausage is browned and crumbly.
Drain and discard grease.
Season sausage mixture with oregano, basil, and salt.
Stir in tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, tomato paste, and olives.
Stir mixture occasionally while simmering for about 30 minutes.
Large pot of lightly salted water should be brought to a boil.
Spaghetti should be cooked in boiling water for 12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender but firm to the bite.
Drain, then move to a serving bowl.
Add tomato-sausage sauce and Parmesan cheese on top.
