German Chocolate Cake Icing
Quick and easy German chocolate cake icing is made with just five ingredients: butter, brown sugar, milk, coconut, and pecans.
In a big saucepan, heat the milk, butter, and brown sugar while occasionally stirring.
Boil for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the icing thickens and reaches 240°F to 245°F (115°C to 118°C) on a candy thermometer.
Add coconut and pecans after removing from the heat.
To achieve the desired consistency, thin the icing if it is too thick.
