Grandma Birdie’s Broccoli Salad
In a zesty mayonnaise-based dressing, Grandma Birdie’s broccoli salad combines tender broccoli and cauliflower with carrot, red onion, and bacon crumbles.
Bring water in a big pot to a boil.
To the boiling water, add the florets of broccoli and cauliflower, and cook for 3 minutes.
Florets should be drained and then placed in a bowl of ice water to cool.
In a bowl, combine the mayonnaise, vinegar, pepper sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper for the dressing.
Florets should be taken out of the ice water and placed on paper towels to dry.
Transfer the florets to a big bowl when you are ready to serve.
Add the bacon, onion, and carrot.
Pour the dressing over the salad and stir to combine.
