Green Beans Almondine
Simple ingredients are quickly and easily transformed into this green beans almondine side dish that even veggie haters will love.
Put the beans and enough water to cover the bottom of a casserole dish that can be used in the microwave.
8 to 10 minutes on high power, until almost tender.
To maintain the lovely green colour, drain in a colander and refresh under cold running water.
A frying pan should be heated to medium.
Almonds should be added and cooked for about 5 minutes, until they are just beginning to turn golden.
Put butter in the pan after turning the heat off.
Put heat back on and add garlic.
Green beans should be added after seasoning with salt and pepper.
Stir until heated through, about 5 to 7 minutes.
