Horchata de Arroz (Rice Drink)
a cool rice beverage with a hint of cinnamon. Horchata in this form doesn’t need to be boiled.

Put the rice in a bowl, cover it with water, and soak it all night.

Remove the water from the rice and discard it.

Cold water and evaporated milk should be combined.

Add half of the diluted milk and the rinsed rice to a blender.

For about 30 seconds, blend the rice until it is very finely ground.

Blend in the sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla.

Blend then add the remaining diluted milk.

Put two layers of cheesecloth in a strainer.

To collect the liquid, set the strainer over another bowl.

Remove the solids after straining the rice milk through cheesecloth.

If necessary, repeat the procedure.

Serving with ice
