These porcupine meatballs made with ground beef and onion and filled with little rice “spikes” are simmered on the stovetop in a simple tomato sauce.

Using the mixture, form 12 meatballs.

A large skillet should be heated to medium-high.

In a hot skillet, add the meatballs and cook, stirring occasionally, until well-browned.

Drain and get rid of extra grease
