Mexican Tomato-Flavored Rice
Use this passed-down recipe to make light and fluffy rice with tomato accents that is flavored with onion and garlic powder.

Oil is heated in a pan at medium heat.

Fry rice in hot oil for 2 to 3 minutes, or until golden brown.

While stirring the rice, pour water into the pan.

Add tomato powder, onion powder, and garlic powder.

The mixture should boil for two minutes after being brought to a boil.

Turn down the heat to low, cover the pan, and cook the rice for about 15 minutes, or until the majority of the moisture has been absorbed.

Take the pan off the heat, cover it, and let the rice absorb any remaining moisture for about five more minutes.
