Pan de Queso (Brazilian Cheese Buns)
The tapioca starch used in this quick and simple gluten-free recipe gives these soft and cheesy Pan de Queso their distinct puff.
Set oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees C).
Butter two baking trays.
In a large saucepan, bring the water, milk, oil, and salt to a boil.
Remove from the heat and stir in the tapioca starch.
ten to fifteen minutes to cool.
Place the tapioca mixture in a big bowl.
Add the egg, and combine thoroughly.
Parmesan cheese is folded in and the dough is kneaded until it is smooth but still sticky.
Place on baking sheet after forming a small ball with 1 tablespoon of the dough.
Use the remaining dough to repeat.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
