Pressure Cooker Whole Chicken
It couldn’t be simpler to cook a whole chicken in your pressure cooker. Use any seasoning you like on the chicken.
In a small bowl, combine the following ingredients: salt, paprika, cayenne, onion powder, thyme, black pepper, white pepper, and garlic powder.
Apply a generous amount of the seasoning mixture to the chicken’s exterior and cavity.
Select the Saute function on an electric pressure cooker (such as an Instant Pot®).
Oil should be added to the pot and heated for one to two minutes.
For 2 to 3 minutes, brown the chicken’s breast side and back side in the hot oil.
Chicken should be taken out of the pot and placed on a plate.
Stop the Saut function.
Pour chicken stock into the pot and use a wooden spoon to scrape the bottom to remove any browned bits.
