Shabbat Challah
My Shabbat Challah is absolutely phenomenal. I came up with it on my own because I didn’t care for the ones I tried. Attempt it; you’ll love it! This can yield two large braided loaves or six regular-sized loaves.
Spread the yeast over the water in a big bowl.
The yeast needs to stand for around five minutes to dissolve.
Add the salt, sugar, oil, and 4 eggs and stir until well combined.
Mix in the flour gradually.
Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead it for 8 to 10 minutes once it becomes too stiff to stir.
Put the dough underneath the bowl and let it double in size.
Alternatively, you could put the dough in a bowl and cover it with a towel.
