Sour Cream Cut-Outs

Sour Cream Cut-Outs

Sour Cream Cut-Outs
Because they contain cake flour and sour cream, this recipe maintains its softness. Every Christmas, I make them.

Set oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees C).

The butter and sugar are smoothed out in a big bowl by mixing them together.

Stir in the sour cream and vanilla after adding each egg one at a time.

Salt, baking soda, and powder should all be mixed in, and then gradually add flour until a stiff enough dough has been formed to roll out.

There may be a need for more or less flour.

Using cookie cutters, cut out the desired shapes after rolling out the dough on a lightly dusted surface.

Place cookies on ungreased baking sheets 2 inches apart.

Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, or until the top is firm and the center seems dry.

Keeping in mind that cookies will remain white, avoid overbaking.
