Sweet and Sour Pickled Beets
These are quick and easy to make. You’ll want to snack on them right out of the jar. They’re much more flavorful than those bland sliced beets you see on salad bars.
Combine the beet liquid with the vinegar, sugar, cinnamon, cloves, and salt in a saucepan.
Bring to a boil while stirring to help the sugar dissolve.
5 minutes of medium-low simmering.
Add the beets and simmer for an additional five minutes.
The beets should be moved to a jar using tongs.
To cover them, pour the liquid over them.
Cool to room temperature while covered.
Keep chilled until serving.
