Taco Soup
This soup contains tomatoes, green chilies, kidney beans, canned hominy, and brown ground beef along with packets of ranch dressing mix and taco seasoning. Serve with grated cheese and sour cream.

Ground beef or turkey and chopped onion are browned in a Dutch oven with frequent stirring.

Drain grease from the pan after the beef has been browned.

Add the ranch salad dressing mix, canned tomatoes, kidney beans, hominy, and taco seasoning.

Mix well, then simmer for two hours at a low temperature.

(If additional water is required to achieve the desired consistency, add 1 to 2 cups.) Pour into soup bowls and, if desired, top with sour cream and shredded Cheddar cheese.
