Whipped Butternut Squash
Whipped butternut squash with butter and brown sugar is a delightful addition to the Thanksgiving or holiday table.
Set oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees C).
Cooking sheet greased.
Place the squash on the prepared baking sheet, cut-side up.
Each squash half’s cavity should contain 1 tablespoon butter and 1 tablespoon brown sugar.
Bake for about an hour, or until the flesh is tender and the skin is crispy.
Cool the squash for about 10 minutes, until it is easily handled.
Scoop the flesh into a large bowl and stir in the remaining butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
Use an electric mixer at a medium speed to fluffy up the squash mixture.
