Over medium-high heat, warm up the olive oil in a big skillet.
In hot oil, cook onion and garlic for 5 to 7 minutes, or until browned.
Add the ground beef and cook and stir for 7 to 10 minutes, or until the beef is thoroughly browned.
From the skillet, drain and remove the grease.
Fill a slow cooker with the beef mixture.
